Spring Break …What are YOU doing?
It’s still the beginning of the year but Spring Break is right around the corner! It’s one of the first events of the year that we all look forward to. The sun is out, the birds are chirping and its getting closer to Summer! Right now is the time to start planning your Spring Break trip. Here are a few tips to get you started!
Where are you going!? That’s the first step in planning your Spring Break vacation- deciding what your destination is going to be! Panama City, Florida is one of the top destinations where Spring breakers plan to be! Lots of sun, amazing parties and affordable beach front hotels with views of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.
Another location on the Florida map is South Beach, Miami! In comparison, Miami and Panama City Beach are pretty much interchangeable when it comes to the Spring break vibe. Even though they are on opposite ends of Florida, Miami parties just as hard! Miami is more of an upscale destination but with the right planning and enough of your friends and family joining, your stay and activities will be cheaper.
If you are not the type of person that likes the sun and beach atmosphere, New York City could be your destination! During Spring break time in New York the snow has melted, the flowers are blooming and the trees are green! You can picnic in Central Park, take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty or even eat an Italian icy on a bench and enjoy the scenery because there is a lot to enjoy!
In order to plan your Spring break vacation you need to give yourself enough time and utilize your resources. A great resource to use is www.Expedia.com. They give you great rates for flights, hotel, and rental car packages. Planning ahead guarantees that you will find a place to stay and save money because the closer it gets to vacation time, the harder it is to find availability for hotels, flight tickets and event prices increase or sell out quickly!
Pack your Bags!!
This is the fun part! Packing your bags for your vacation that you’ve planned. Don’t over or under pack. Over packing will have you paying more for your luggage at the front desk of the airline, and under packing will have you upset once you get to your destination because you forgot something. “Where’s the sunscreen?”
Here is a list of things to pack:
- Bathing Suit(s)
- Travel Size Toiletries
- A sweater (It might be chilly a night or two or in the airport)
- That new dress/outfit for a nice dinner or event
- Don’t forget your sandals!
- Sunscreen-having sun burn is a horrible and painful experience.
Make sure you leave room in your luggage for souvenirs because you will definitely be shopping!
